UK weather: Brits rejoice as sunshine finally returns for last day of Bank Holiday weekend after days of rain
BRITS are finally set to bask in some glorious sunny weather today after days of heavy rain.
This weekend's unpredictable conditions had thwarted families hoping to enjoy a pleasant Bank Holiday weekend.

But sunshine will start to peek through, as Brits look to soak up the last rays of sun before the long weekend ends.
Sun-seekers up and down the country are again likely to fire up their barbecue grills and sunbathe in spots nationwide.
Parts of the UK will see temperatures consistently hitting 21C, according to Met Office predictions.
It comes after the Met Office issued yellow weather warning for Saturday and Sunday - affecting Manchester and Liverpool.

The forecasters warned the harsh rainfall could cause massive disruption for Brits hoping to travel during the long weekend.
The Met Office warned: "Further heavy showers are likely to cause some localised flooding and disruption on Saturday night.
"There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray and standing water, leading to longer journey times by car and bus. Delays to train services are possible.
"Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures."

Today, however, forecasters predict a drier start to the day with "warm sunny spells" throughout the day.
There will be the odd drizzle pushing eastward while clouds crawl through Scotland in the afternoon and evening.
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Steven Keates said: "Monday, which is a Bank Holiday for those in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, will probably see band of showery rain clear from eastern England early in the day, with sunny spells and scattered showers following on for most places.
"There are no signals for significant heat in the current forecast period.”
By tonight, those sporadic showers are expected to die out, with "clear spells" developing.
The Met Office continued: "Heavy showers and strengthening winds continue to spread eastwards across Scotland.
"Chilly overnight in rural spots."
Similar conditions are expected on Tuesday, where a "fine start" will see "cloud and light rain moving eastwards overnight into Wednesday".
Forecasters also warned sun revellers that this could be the last warm spell of 2023 - with temperatures expected to drop sharply in the coming days.

A westerly airflow is expected to continue, bringing showers and occasional longer periods of rain to different parts of the country.
