A WOMAN was given a shock when she woke to find a complete stranger taking a shower in her bathroom and it was cops who had brought him to the house.
The man had also left his underpants in the dining room and his trousers in the living room.
The woman, who lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, US, did not want to be identified, and said she didn't know he was in her home until he started shouting.
She told : "He left his underwear in my dining room. He left his pants in my living room.
"He left blood on the walls.
"He was in my master bedroom while I was sleeping, and I didn't hear anything until he started screaming in my bathroom."
According to court records, officers drove Scott Alan Lamarsh to the house.
He appeared to be very drunk, and the report stated he had injuries which were consistent with a fight.
Cops offered to give him a ride home, and checked his license records, and asked him where he lived.
However when they dropped him off they didn't wait to see how he got inside.
Scottsdale Police Public Information Officer Kevin Watts said: "There was nothing that indicated he did not live at the address.
"Unfortunately, he was not being honest with officers and then decided to make further poor choices by forcing entry into the home and taking a shower.
"These poor decisions by Mr. Lamarsh resulted in an extremely frightening event for the true home owner."
"There does not appear to be any policy violations in this incident."
It was only later cops discovered he had not lived at the address for two or three years.
Police said Lamarsh kicked in the front door and then went upstairs to the bathroom.
The woman and her daughters, ages 8 and 12, were asleep in their bedrooms.
The woman said: "He tore out the plumbing in the shower. He ripped off the shower rod.
"There was a pretty big mess to clean up."
She said she grabbed her two daughters and hid in a bedroom to call the police.
Lamarsh was arrested in a towel.
He told cops he had been drinking and in his drunken state he thought "you still feel like it's your home after losing everything."
Lamarsh was charged with criminal trespassing and criminal damage.
