Britain’s most violent con Charles Bronson under investigation for throwing bottle of human waste at Muslim prisoner Kevan Thakrar

BRITAIN’s most violent prisoner Charles Bronson is being probed by jail bosses after allegedly attacking a triple killer behind bars.

Bronson – who has spent most of his life banged up – launched a bottle filled with human waste at machine gun murderer Kevan Thakrar as he walked past his cell, according to officials.

Thakrar – a Muslim – was being escorted by seven officers when the attack is said to have taken place at Wakefield prison’s Close Supervision Centre – a so-called ‘prison-within-a-prison’ which holds some of the nation’s most dangerous men.

Armed robber Bronson – said by sources to be a member of a nationwide jail gang called Death Before Dishonour – also allegedly shouted racist abuse at Thakrar from behind his cage door on the wing.

Insiders say that 32-year-old Thakrar – who has brought a string of claims against the Prison Service since being jailed for life – is now planning action against officers for failing to protect him.

A source told The Sun: “Thakrar doesn’t need much of an excuse to bring a complaint against officers and this will be no exception.

“He is saying that the prison officers allowed this incident to take place because he was with seven of them and it still happened. But that is not the case. It was just one of those unsavoury things which happen all the time in jail.

“Bronson will be investigated and could lose his privileges.

“He is a currently on the enhanced regime and could be busted down to standard or even basic meaning he would be allowed less time for visits and not allowed to spend as much money each week on treats like chocolate.”

Bald Bronson, 64, has spent more than 40 years behind bars with 36 years of that in solitary confinement.

He has only spent four months and nine days out of prison since being first convicted in 1974.

Thakrar and his brother Miran were found guilty of murdering Keith Cowell, 52, his son Matthew, 17, and Tony Dulieu, 33, with an automatic weapon after a drug deal went wrong in Bishop’s Stortford, Herts, in 2007.

They then tried to kill two women.

Thakrar was handed a 35-year minimum term and his older brother a 42-year minimum sentence.

The triple murderer has cost the taxpayer almost £100,000 in legal fees by pursuing a string of trivial complaints from jail.

Thakrar has made 16 claims since he was jailed in 2008.

His grievances have included the loss of a mug, milk going missing from his cell, not being given adequate footwear and shampoo being squirted over his CDs.

In four cases, the Ministry of Justice has had to pay out a total of £1,950 in compensation for lost or damaged property.

The cost to the MoJ of fighting 11 completed cases was £60,911 and five ongoing legal battles have taken another £37,370 from the public purse – a total of £98,281.

He was cleared of attempted murder after attacking three guards with a glass bottle at HMP Frankland in County Durham in 2010.

The Sun told in October how hard-man Bronson , now known as Charles Salvador,  asked supporters not to daub his name on walls because it is breaking the law.

He warned followers that they could end up in a neighbouring cell if they don’t stop the graffiti.

The hard man said: “I don’t want to see anybody outside protesting this way, because you are breaking the law and it will end in a sticky situation.

“And you could end up being my next door neighbour.
“Thank you for your loyalty, but there is no need.”

“I am honoured and humbled that there are people out there that still believe it is a liberty me being imprisoned.

“But I must say now, whoever is doing this graffiti, please stop.”

The statement came after “Free Bronson” was plastered on a wall in Aberystwyth, West Wales, where he has family.

The ex-boxer, referring to himself in the third person, told fans: “Bronson is no more for one thing.

“Bronson is now Charles Salvador, the born-again artist.

“For another thing, I also have no appeal left.

“The only way I will get out is to behave myself and go through the proper channels and get myself a bit of jam roll. Which I believe I am entitled to.”

Bronson was first jailed for seven years in 1974, but has regularly had his sentence extended for hostage-taking and attacking guards.

He is currently held at Wakefield Prison, having spent period detained in the Rampton, Broadmoore and Ashworth high-security psychiatric hospitals.

Now a prolific artist, he has sold and donated many of his works for charity as part of his art foundation.
