Repton School incident: Girl, 14, dies at Christian sports camp held at one of UK’s top private schools

A GIRL has died while attending a Christian sports camp at one of the UK's top private schools.

The teen was rushed to hospital after falling ill at Repton School, Derbyshire on Monday.

Sadly, the 14-year-old could not be saved and died later that evening.

She was taking part in a week-long camp run by Christians in Sport that saw kids aged 11 to 17 staying at the school during the summer holidays.

A statement from the organisers read: "We are all deeply shocked and saddened by this terrible news.

"We look to the comfort and hope we have in Jesus Christ and ask that you join us in prayer for the family and those impacted by this tragedy.
