She battled serious drug addiction to cope with her "unstable and chaotic" home life.

Shani was thrown out of her family home at the age of 16.

She then spent her nights couch-surfing or sleeping on cold street corners.

But in her early 20s, Shani gave birth to her son Oscar and decided to turn her life around.

Even though Shani never finished high school, she managed to get a job in recruitment and worked her way up into a management role.

This is when the mum-of-one became career driven after having finally committed to getting clean.

Shani also enrolled in a university to study sociology.

Finishing her degree in just two years instead of three, she then started a postgraduate degree in law and began climbing the corporate ladder.

During her studies Shani took a course on how to start a business.

"All the trauma of 28 years and all of the growth, I couldn't see myself going back and working for someone else and clocking on and being in an office environment," she told .

Now, the single mum heads her own business consultancy firm, Open To Grace, where she provides coaching for businesses to grow and develop.

She began working 18 hours a day, seven days a week but admits that the gruelling shifts were worth it in the end.

“Almost everything else in my life was put on hold so I could fully immerse myself in creating my life the way I wanted it,” she said.

She revealed that in the first 30 days of business, she raked in a massive five-figure paycheck and now three years later, the business is worth seven figures.

“Now, I have more money than I’ve ever had before, more time freedom than I’ve ever had, and a business that serves people all around the world," she said.

This comes after a self-made millionaire revealed his secret to earning £156,000 a month by the age of 30.

Another self-made millionaire, aged just 27, hit out at the haters who called her business idea ";stupid".
