At the time of hiring her in October he said on social media: “Look and see who’s interior designing my restaurant and bar in Windsor. It’s called Ink restaurant and bar!”

The post included a link revealing Mrs Ommanney. She retweeted the post, which has now been deleted.

However their relationship has since collapsed.

Last week the eccentric 49-year-old unleashed a series of tweets slamming Mrs Ommanney, who has herself starred in the reality show The Real Housewives of DC.

He claimed to his 40,000 followers on Twitter: “She […] ran off without finishing the bar!

“She’s not getting away with it no f****** way!

Following his series of tweets, The Sun Online can reveal that Mr Singh was called to a police station and arrested.

A Metropolitan Police statement said: “On Sunday, 4 December, a 49-year-old man attended a west London police station and was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and a public order offence.

“He was issued with a caution for malicious communications and was bailed pending further enquires to a date in mid-January in relation to the public order offence.”

A source told how he fumed to pals after being summoned.

When initially approached by The Sun, Mr Singh denied he had been arrested.

He said this morning: “I did not make any threats nor was I arrested.”

The Sun has since contacted Mr Singh asking for him to clarify his comments.

He also alleged: “I asked [Mrs Ommanney] to give the money back and she refused. She apparently told the police that I threatened her, which I had not. I simply asked her to return my money.”

Mr Singh said that he was asked “to come in to the police station to give a voluntary statement”.

He said he was at the station for a maximum of three hours.

“The police were very nice and friendly,” he added. “That was the end of the matter. The allegations were false and I went home.”

It is not the end of the matter however.

While a contestant on Big Brother, Mr Singh sparked controversy by threatening fellow housemate Hughie Maughan.

During a rant he told fellow housemates: “I’ve got some steam to let off soon – I hope I don’t get to that point, if I do, man gonna get beat up in here, cameras or no cameras, it’s street all the way!”

Producers decided against warning Mr Singh about his conduct.

While he was in the house for the Channel 5 show, a woman told how her son tried to take his own life after being “ripped off” by one of Mr Singh’s modelling agencies.

Deborah Pike, 44, from Northampton, said her son Josh was left distraught after she shelled out a whopping £3,000 to help launch his modelling career.

Once there Josh had a series of pictures taken which Deborah described as “incredible”.

However things quickly turned sour when she was told she had to cough up for the portfolio on the spot – with prices ranging up to £4,000.

With Deborah unable to pay the fee, her son – who has suffered from depression and anxiety in the past – tried to take his life.

She said: “He actually tried to end his life because of this.

“It boosted his confidence, he thought ‘somebody thinks something of me, I can make loads of money, people want to photograph me’ and then when all this happened he hit rock bottom and tried to take an overdose.”
