Generous readers have been donating sackfuls of toys to our Smiles at Christmas campaign and there’s still time for you to do the same
You can donate at McColls and Toys 'R' Us branches
BIG-hearted Sun readers are handing in sackfuls of toys to make kids smile this Christmas.
We asked you to donate cash or toys for four children’s charities that we are supporting this festive season.
And all you Santa’s little helpers haven’t let them down.
Staff at a McColl’s store are already requesting more sacks to hold all the toys they have been given.
Store supervisor Sarah Kealy said: “The Sun’s Smiles at Christmas campaign has really caught the imagination. Everyone wants to help a child have a wonderful Christmas.
“So many toys are being handed in we need more sacks to keep them in.”
You can donate new or used toys in good condition at 1,370 McColls branches around the country.
Or, you can hand in brand-new toys at Toys ‘R’ Us stores, where you will find special Smiles At Christmas trollies.
Nursery nurse Cher Armstrong donated THREE gifts at the Toys ‘R’ Us store in Peckham, south London.
The mum-of-three gave sought-after Universe of Imagination toys for the youngsters we are supporting from four fantastic kids charities.
She said: “Every child deserves a present at Christmas. If we can give them a little bit of happiness through The Sun then it’s great news.”
