Passenger ‘wielding knife’ at Seven Sisters tube station causes rush hour delays on the Victoria line
A PASSENGER 'wielding a knife' at Seven Sisters tube station caused rush hour delays this evening, according to reports.
Commuters took to Twitter after hold ups on the Victoria line to say "someone with a machete" was stopping trains from running.
One Twitter user wrote: "Due to a man wielding a weapon at Seven Sisters this train is delayed."
Another added: "We aren't moving ladies and gentlemen because there is someone wielding a machete at Seven Sisters."
A British transport police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Seven Sister underground station at 18:52 on Monday, December 5 to a report of a male armed with a knife.
"On arrival officers conducted a search of the station and the surrounding area.
"No trace was found of the male and there have been no further reports.
"This incident is currently under investigation."
