Builders and painters have been ripping out the interior filling several skips.

Planning documents show the Camerons submitted a request for internal alterations including new bathrooms and kitchen.

The Camerons spent a reported £600,000 on an eco-refurb and basement excavation ten years ago that included solar panels.

It is understood the Camerons, who have been living at a friend's mansion in Holland Park will move back in time for Christmas as soon as the work is done.

It’s a busy time for SamCam in the run up to Christmas she gets ready to launch her new fashion label Cefinn.

A spokesman for the family said the Camerons didn’t comment on private matters.
