Huge Newfoundland Sherman, who has a comedy “I self-identify as a chihuahua” bib, reaches 6ft on hind legs at 18 months.
Owners Elliott Richards, 46, and wife Beverley, 41, say he’ll add 2st.
Cop Elliott, of South Shields, Tyneside, said: “He's big and friendly - probably a bit too friendly for his own good.
“He likes to sit on you because he thinks he's a lap dog.
“He doesn’t realise his own size.

“He's just started getting really stubborn.”
They welcomed the cuddle monster into the family in February last year after importing him from a Polish breeder.
The couple bought him for around £2,600.
It seems that experts agree that Newfoundlands like Sherman are one of the friendliest dog breeds.
