Furious Nigel Farage ready to sue Coutts’ owner NatWest after being ‘treated like war criminal’
FURIOUS Nigel Farage is ready to sue Coutts’ owner NatWest, claiming it treated him like a war criminal.
He is also demanding an apology from the BBC for a story claiming his account with the posh bank was shut because he was not wealthy enough.

The ex-Ukip leader said: “It is difficult to sue the BBC but I am considering all options of what I do next, including legal action against NatWest.
“What was said about me in the report was unfair and defamatory.”
Last week, Mr Farage, 59, revealed a Coutts dossier which he claimed proved the account was shut over his political views.
He said there was a perception at the bank that he was regarded as racist and xenophobic.

NatWest boss Dame Alison Rose apologised on Thursday for the comments.
On July 4 — the day after its business editor Simon Jack had dinner with Dame Alison — the BBC ran a story claiming Mr Farage had “fallen beneath the Coutts wealth limit”.
It amended the story on Thursday but with no apology.
Mr Farage has contacted the Information Commissioner’s Office and demanded an investigation into Dame Alison.

He told The Sun: “I should have a fulsome apology from the BBC and Mr Jack.
"Their story was taken as gospel, although I had denied it. It led to abuse and reputational damage.
"I was deeply shocked by the dossier which was full of bile and poison.
“It was like a war criminal’s charge sheet — not a report into a law-abiding individual.
“I had to put material about me out there as it was the only way I could prove what I said was true.”
Last night, ex-PM Boris Johnson said Dame Alison must resign if responsible for the smears.
The BBC reiterated to The Sun it had amended its story.
