Pop paedo Gary Glitter given warning after he was caught looking at videos of young girls BEFORE being returned to jail
POP paedophile Gary Glitter was let off with a warning when he was caught looking at videos of young girls.
He was returned to prison only after The Sun on Sunday revealed three days later that he had been discussing the dark web.
We told in April how he had been found to have used his phone to view footage on YouTube and TikTok of girls as young as eight in leotards and ballet gear.
It has now emerged that Glitter was also caught using an email address under a false name — but probation bosses merely reprimanded him for the breaches in licence rules.
A source said: “Questions will be asked about why he was let off with a warning after they first found out about his behaviour.
“It also shows that The Sun on Sunday’s story was the thing that got him put back behind bars.”

Glam rocker Glitter, 79 — who had a string of hits in the 1970s — was released in February halfway through a 16-year sentence for historical sex attacks on three girls.
On March 12, The Sun on Sunday published photos of the serial sex abuser using a smartphone at the hostel in the south of England.
We told how Glitter discussed internet search engines and the dark web with others.
He was seen on a sofa gawping at his handset.

We sent our evidence to Ministry of Justice bosses, which led to Glitter being arrested and whisked back to prison the next day.
He was taken to HMP The Verne, in Dorset — where he is still held — and handed a recall notice for breaching the terms of his licence.
The Probation Service said: “Protecting the public is our number one priority and, as shown by our decisive action in this instance, we do not hesitate to put offenders back behind bars where necessary.”
