A GRIEVING daughter has paid tribute to her dad who died after being rescued from a horror house fire.
Phillip Bennett, 58, was pulled from the blaze on Caswell Road in Rumney, Cardiff, on Thursday, but sadly died two days later.
A woman who was also in the home is still fighting for her life in hospital.
Phil's daughter Leanne has now told of her family's pain.
She wrote on social media: "My family and I just want to say thank you all to everyone for you kind words & messages.
"We appreciate more than you’ll know. We are absolutely heartbroken.
"Seeing all the messages just goes to show how much my dad truly was loved.
"Reading the messages has been hard but it’s also given us a bit of comfort knowing how much everyone else loved him too.
"He was the best dad in the world, the best husband, the best grandad.
"He would’ve done anything for anyone. We will cherish the memories we all have with you forever & always."
