Mystery as Brit diver dies after being pulled unconscious from water in Cyprus
A BRITISH diver has died after he was pulled out of the water unconscious in Cyprus.
The 71-year-old tourist had gone diving in the Moulia area, near Yeroskipou in Paphos, when he lost consciousness.
According to the police, the 71-year-old Brit was part of a group of amateur divers who were accompanied by a professional diver.
The group had completed the diving course and had surfaced before boarding the boat back to the shore when the man passed out, reports.
The instructor tried to resuscitate the man but to no avail.
Upon arriving at the beach, an ambulance rushed to the scene and transported the Brit to the Paphos hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy has been scheduled as the exact cause of the man’s death is being investigated.
Earlier this month, a British woman was found dead in Kato Paphos with "bruises all over her body".
Mystery surrounds the death of the 38-year-old who was discovered at the apartment she shared with her partner.
And last week another Brit was found dead during a holiday in Greece while his terrified wife frantically called for help.
