How your Smiles at Christmas donations can help save a child’s life this winter

The AMAR Foundation helps provide much-needed medical treatment, food supplies and education to some of Iraq's most desperate kids

MORE than 500,000 kids are believed to be among the civilians caught in the firing line during the battle for Mosul.

Many hundreds of them have suffered horrific injuries amid a terrifying barrage of shell-fire and bullets.

Others have been cruelly tortured by ISIS brutes, like 18-month-old Ali, who had clumps of hair pulled out of his head as his helpless mother tried to protect him.

One charity has the back of the innocent kids of Mosul - providing essential food, water and medical treatment.

The Foundation has been working with Iraq's most needy since 2014 helping more than three million who have fled their homes to escape ISIS.

With 150 staff on the ground around Mosul, one of its most important roles is providing much-needed medical aid to youngsters suffering from disease and wounds.

Nearly FIVE MILLION consultations have been funded by the charity in just ten years.
