A FIRM exposed by The Sun for using children as young as six to make toys for Kinder Eggs was axed yesterday.

Chocs giant Ferrero acted after we revealed “slave” workers earning just 22p an hour for 13-hour days assembling the treats in Romania.

The Sun investigation videoed kids helping adults make 80p Kinder Surprise eggs.

Ferrero yesterday axed sub-contractor Prolegis, which ran the workers.

The Italian confectionery giant said: “The allegations made by The Sun contradict Ferrero’s strict quality, social and ethical requirements.
"The involvement of children, either directly or indirectly, is strictly forbidden.”

Ferrero was accused of “child slavery” by MPs.
