Rare Nazi army building blocks game for babies exposes Hitler’s attempts to brainwash German tots

Sinister Third Reich game called The New Military Power expected to fetch up to £300 at auction

A TWISTED Nazi-themed building block game for babies shows how low Adolf Hitler stooped to brainwash German tots.

The sinister Third Reich game called The New Military Power contains war-themed wooden blocks plastered with images of German soldiers and battle flags.

Some of them are painted red to represent barracks and one of the blocks carries the caption Armory Barracks.

On the label of the wooden box a Nazi soldier is prominently featured alongside flags bearing swastikas.

It is well known that the Nazi propaganda department produced strategy board games based on the German navy and Luftwaffe invading and defeating England which were aimed at older children.

But this is the first time that a building block game aimed at children aged between one and three has emerged.

The rare surviving example has come from a collector of militaria and is being sold by C&T Auctioneers of Ashford, Kent.

Matthew Tredwen, of C&T Auctioneers, said: "This piece has come to us from a collector.

"The Third Reich produced lots of board games with military themes, as did the British. But it is most unusual to come across a game aimed at such young children."

It is being sold on November 30 and is expected to fetch £200 to £300.
