And that includes the unnamed sniper who once hit a target from over 1,400 meters.
He became a marksman in 2003 and has honed his elite killing skills during tours in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Now the “battle winning” sniper spends 12 hour days monitoring the movements of locals entering the base through the sights of his sniper rifle.
The chances of an attack are slim, but he is taking no chances.
He said: “I was disappointed it is so quiet, in the last three tours duty I've been involved in fighting. The good thing about is it at least we will all get to go back.
“I've been in it 20 years now and it is something you are trained to do.
“Not in a sadistic way, it is something you enjoy.”
Like the rest of the men, he is itching to get out and take on ISIS, but this mission is different, here forces are training Iraqi forces to liberate their own country.
He added: “I would go to Mosul tomorrow if I could. They're all itching to go out. They are infantrymen, they just want to go out.”
The sniper revealed his greatest accomplishment was taking out a Taliban sniper firing pot shots at friendly forces in Afghanistan.
He said: “We took a village in Afghan and one of the Afghan national police got shot.
“There were single rounds coming in every 20 minutes. I went to a roof and lay there for a bit. As soon as he popped out I got him.”
