I asked for my roast to-go and was mortified by Toby Carvery’s ‘vile’ solution
A FAMILY were left disgusted when staff at a Toby Carvery wrapped their roast dinner leftovers in cling film.
Trinity Martin, 18, visited the restaurant's chain's branch in Maes Knoll, Bristol, with three family members on Sunday.
The trainee lash technician ordered a dinner that included a Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes, peas, cauliflower and stuffing.
Unable to finish her plate and not wanting food to go to waste, she asked if it would be possible to take her leftovers away.
But Trinity was told she would not be able to take the food away in a box and it was instead wrapped in cling film.
She told : "It looked vile. We were very shocked. We were laughing because everyone around us were giving weird looks.

"We thought the waitress was joking at first but she wasn’t.
"We brought it home because we didn’t want to be rude, but we didn’t actually eat it because it looked gross."
The family described the cling film-wrapped food as "vile" and said they threw it straight into the bin when they got home.
It comes despite Toby Carvery having pledged to achieve a 50 per cent reduction in food waste by 2030.

The chain is also signed up to the Too Good To Go scheme attempting to reduce food waste by allowing people to buy surplus ingredients from its restaurants.
A spokesman for Toby Carvery said it would not be commenting on the matter.
