One dad, 52, whose son wants to go to New Mills School, High Peak, Derbys, said: “It is just so bizarre.

“I don’t even know what these mean - I’m not convinced anyone does!

“Children don't just need this kind of thing.

“They are at such a tender age, and you want them to be children as long as possible.

“When you see something like this, it just makes you not want to take them seriously as an education establishment.

“I spoke to other parents whose children are supposed to be starting at New Mills later this year, and they were equally as baffled by it.

“It left my son very confused and upset.

“They are confusing the lines between male and female so much.

“This kind of thing really affects kids.

“Their policies need straightening out.”

The school hit headlines over its “Drag ’n’ Rainbows” non-uniform day, which was later cancelled.

Bosses said the form is standard and used by “thousands of schools”.
