Chilling update in hunt for missing girl, 5, bundled into suitcase & kidnapped from Italian hotel
A CHILLING update has emerged in the hunt for a five-year-old girl who was allegedly bundled into a suitcase and kidnapped from a hotel in Italy.
Kataleya Mia Chicillo Alvarez went missing on June 10 after last being seen on CCTV playing on some steps at the Astor Hotel in Florence.
Cops have been desperately searching the building, which is being occupied by 140 illegal migrants, in the hopes of finding a trace of little Kataleya.
They are also on the hunt for any sign of her abductors and stated the hotel search should be completed by the end of today after covering 50 per cent of the building yesterday.
The new examinations will be carried out in the hotel's garden in an effort to uncover whether it may have been used as a temporary hiding place for the child, according La Repubblica.

Two vacuum trucks are also being used to empty the cesspools as cops continue searching for any potential clues.
Investigators are focussing on a new camera that was discovered in the first phase of the search.
It is believed to belong to a private, unknown individual and was found positioned at an angle that cops believe could have captured Kataleya's disappearance, according to the publication.
A mobile phone found abandoned in a bin is also being examined.
Authorities believe Kataleya was put into a suitcase and hurried out of one of the hotel's two exits on June 10.
No trace of Kataleya or her kidnappers have been found since she vanished.
Police launched a nationwide hunt for Kataleya and have taken her toothbrush for DNA analysis.
On Sunday, ten police officers began to empty bins outside of the occupied hotel where Kataleya was living, while two teams of specialist officers arrived with search equipment.
Kataleya's devastated family have lived in the hotel since last September, having moved to Italy when the youngster was six months old.
He said earlier last week: "I had problems here before, but I don't think it's this thing, I can't believe they are involving a little girl.
"I think it's a kidnapping. Maybe for extortion, I don't know, I don't have to judge, God will judge but my little girl has nothing to do with it.
"I don't want any more problems with anyone, I love my family."
Members of the Peruvian community have taken to the streets with placards and images of Kataleya in recent days.

Her mum, Kathrina, was taken to hospital last week after ingesting bleach, but was discharged on Wednesday.
According to La Repubblica, Kataleya's family lawyers have also made a request to authorities to carry out their own inspections inside the hotel when the current police investigations have been completed.
