Nigel Farage receives death threats and cannot leave home without security following Brexit and US election
Following Trump's shock victory, the Ukip interim leader claims he is not safe on his own
NIGEL Farage has revealed he can’t leave his own home without security after Brexit and Donald Trump’s election win.
The UKIP interim leader says he has “no life” after the shock US result “changed everything” and sparked a series of death threats.
Farage announced his retirement following the June 23 EU vote amid fears he would be assassinated.
Attackers had been found smuggling knives into his rallies on at least two occasions.
He planned to “watch more cricket, do more fishing and see more of the kids”, before a chance encounter with Trump’s election team at a Republican Convention.
But following the tycoon’s victory the dad-of-four from Downe, Kent, claims he is not safe on his own.
He told a newspaper: “I can’t even walk down the street without security. I have to go to private places, private venues.
“The thought of doing a Friday night pub crawl around Westminster – I just can’t do it anymore.
“It might diminish, it might not. The America dimension changed everything.
