Two teens aged 15 and 16 charged with murder of Mikey Roynon after 16-year-old is knifed to death in Bath
TWO teens have been charged with murder after a 16-year-old was knifed to death at the weekend.
Mikey Roynon, described as a “loving and thoughtful soul”, was stabbed at a property in Bath on Saturday night.
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene but the teen could not be saved.
Police today said two teens, 15 and 16, were charged with murder and possessing an offensive weapon.
The pair appeared in Bristol Youth Court this morning.
Tributes poured in for Mikey in the hours after he tragically died.
The teen’s ex-girlfriend Chyna-Lei Patterson, 18, visited the street where he took his final breaths at the weekend.
The healthcare student from Bristol, told The Sun: “He was such a lovely polite boy and was loved by loads of people.
“His memory will be cherished by everyone who came across him and I’m just devastated at his loss.
“He was a really talented musician and dreamed of making a career as a rapper.
“Everyone who knew him is devastated.”

On the page, the organiser wrote: “As you can imagine his mum and dad are distraught their son will forever be 16.
“Mikey was such a kind loving and thoughtful soul who cared so much about his friends and family.
“He was so funny and fearless.”
Detective Inspector Mark Newbury, the senior investigating officer, today said: “This is a significant development in our investigation and in our quest to achieve justice for Mikey.
“His family have been informed and specialist family liaison officers continue to support them. They have been at the forefront of our minds as we’ve carried out the enquiries which have resulted in these charges.
“The investigation is ongoing and there is still a lot of work for us to do. The cordon has now been reduced but officers are likely to remain at the property for the next few days.
“The support of the local community has been invaluable and I’d once again like to thank them for their patience and understanding.”
