Mum and stepdad appear in court charged with brutal murder of toddler found with more than 100 injuries

A MUM and stepdad appeared in court yesterday accused of murdering a tot found with more than 100 injuries including a chest bite.

Police and paramedics were called shortly before midnight on Sunday to an address where Jeremiah was found with head and body injuries.

A post-mortem showed the tot died of abdominal peritonitis caused by blunt force trauma in Wolverhampton.

The court heard that Jeremiah's injuries included a complex skull fracture, a significant bite mark to his chest and 100 specified injuries to his body.

Local Sindyann Regis, 25, and Chevaze Mcgregor, 27, of Rainford, Essex, spoke only to confirm their names at the city’s crown court.
