She was seen drinking in the airport bar before getting involved in a spiralling argument at the gate about being a “benefits mum”.

The woman in her 20s called Charlotte later raged from her seat: “I work for my money.  I’ve got a proper job.” On board the Airbus A320, flight attendants warned her she would not be served alcohol.

She said: “I've paid for my flight and I know I am entitled to it!”

BA said: “This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated, and the appropriate action will always be taken. We are sorry to our customers for the short delay.”
