FORMER Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has died at 86.

He is survived by his children and 33-year-old partner, Marta Fascina, who will help run his incredible empire.

Who is Marta Fascina?

Marta Fascina is an Italian politician born on January 9, 1990.

She is the President of Forza Italia, the centre-right political party started by Berlusconi in 1994.

She graduated with a degree in literature andpPhilosophy from Rome's Sapienza University and began working for AC Milan football club as a press officer.

She has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since the 2018 Italian general election.

When did Silvio Berlusconi and Marta Fascina get married?

Silvio and Marta got together in 2020 after Berlusconi broke off his relationship with long-term girlfriend Francesca Pascale.

In March 2022, they staged a symbolic wedding in an unofficial ceremony.

Dubbed a “festival of love”, it marked the third time the ex-PM made it up the aisle.

But this time, the coupling wasn’t a marriage in the eyes of the law.

According to the Italian press, Marta was "offended and very angry about not having a proper wedding".

However, Vittorio Sgarbi, the MP and art critic told:  "Although there was no priest or public official, it was like a real wedding.

"Berlusconi was full of happiness as he told Marta she was 'a gift from the heavens'".

The pair did not have any children together.

Silvio has two sons and three daughters from previous marriages.
