THIS is the shocking moment passengers got into a foul-mouthed row in front of terrified families on a suspected British Airways flight to Gatwick.

Russell Flanders had just touched down in the UK following a holiday to Faro, Portugal, with his wife and two kids.

Hitting the tarmac, the family-of-four were hoping for a swift exit but ended up becoming "trapped" when things kicked off on Friday.

Claiming they couldn't leave their seats for 25 minutes after the pilot turned off the 'fasten seat-belt sign', Russell told how two fliers blocked the aisle after erupting into a verbal scrap.

Footage from inside the early-morning flight, obtained by The Sun, shows the confrontation unfolding as passengers waited to disembark the aircraft.

In the clip, filmed by Russell's fearful wife, one passenger can be heard barking: "Meet me outside, bro…you’re gonna smash me up, yeah? When did you start talking s**t?"

The other passenger aggressively jibed back: "When I asked you not to f***ing bump heads."

Hurling insults and threats back and forth, the man wearing a Nike backpack responds: "I’m gonna f**k you up.

"You’re an Irish boy, get out of my f***ing way. You’re f***ing talking to me bro."

The Irish passenger shouted: "Where are you from? I don’t give a s***e. You gobs***e. You f***ing eejit.

"You don’t know who you’re dealing with. You f***ing idiot."

Russell said the hellish experience left his kids, nine and three, “terrified by the swearing and threats of violence".

Sussex Police were called following the altercation but made no arrests.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We can confirm police carried out a search in the airport for two passengers reported to have been involved in a verbal dispute on board a flight.

"There was no trace of anyone matching their description and no alleged offences were disclosed."

British Airways and Gatwick Airport have been contacted for comment.
