THESE jaw-dropping images show the almost supernatural beauty of the skyline of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The Burj Khalifa – the tallest structure in the world – is seen shrouded in cloud and the iconic seven-star Burj Al Arab Hotel is a stark backdrop to the beautiful desert sunrise.

They were taken by Zohaib Anjum, an award-winning architectural photographer who specialises in cityscapes and landscapes.

Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Once endless desert, it now hosts a bustling metropolis that shows no sign of slowing down.
