Ex-Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, 86, rushed to hospital in Milan just weeks after leaving intensive care
FORMER Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has been rushed to hospital in Milan just weeks after leaving the intensive care unit.
The billionaire media mogul, 86, is currently in Milan's San Raffaele Hospital following a blood cancer diagnosis.
The former prime minister has been hospitalised again in the same hospital from which he was discharged on May 19 after spending 45 days in the facility.
Italian media reports that the Forza Italia leader was hospitalised with pneumonia after a diagnosis of leukaemia.
He was admitted into hospital with heart problems and shortness of breath.
The former Prime Minister is now undergoing intensive therapy to battle the disease, reported.

According to , Berlusconi is in ward Q1 in San Raffaele Hospital and is therefore not in intensive care.
The former Prime Minister was due to host a Forza Italia summit tomorrow with "general staff" at his villa in Arcore, before he was rushed to hospital.

Berlusconi wrote: "I have already returned to work on the main themes of these days, ready and determined to commit myself, as I always have, to the country I love."
The billionaire's latest hospital dash comes after a series of health scares in recent years.
Berlusconi was hospitalised for Covid-related pneumonia in September 2020, but later recovered.
However, the following year he was admitted several times for complications stemming from the deadly virus.
Berlusconi was forced to undergo open heart surgery in 2016 and surgery on his intestine three years later.
The four-time prime minister, who is fitted with a pacemaker, has also overcome prostate cancer.
Berlusconi's Forza Italia party makes up part of Italy's ruling coalition, but the former Prime Minister, who is worth an estimated £6billion ($7billion), does not have a role in government.
Following the hospital dash, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said: "Sincere and affectionate wishes for a speedy recovery to Silvio Berlusconi.
"Forza Silvio."

The billionaire served as Italy's Prime Minister on three occasions, from 1994 to 1995, 2001 to 2006, and 2008 to 2011.
He also owned Italian football club AC Milan between 1986 and 2017 and bought the team in 2018.
