A MAN got some tall revenge on his neighbour who called animal control on his barking dogs.
Kyle Kurt, from South Carolina, US, responded to the complaints by building a 15ft "atrocious" fence to keep his distance amid the row.
The adjacent homeowners were locked in a battle over Kurt's dogs that allegedly barked at night.
Furious and possibly sleep deprived, Dustin Earnhardt teamed up with other neighbours to call animal control on the man's Alsatians.
In a brilliantly savage move, Kurt responded by erecting a giant fence between himself and his neighbour.
In a resurfaced viral clip from 2011, reported on the neighbourly dispute that got out of hand.
The video has been watched over 800k times as TikTokers have been busy debating which neighbour was in the wrong.
"Obviously it's atrocious," said Earnhardt as he starred at the imposing barricade around his garden.
"It's way too high, it blocks the light coming into our sun room.
"It's awful, the view from inside our house is completely blocked.... an entire portion of our house we can't use."
He continued: "It's really a shame that they would put something up like that because it effects somebody else's life."
"I believe the fence was put up out of spite, we had previously had some problems with the neighbours in regards to their dogs," he added.
The fence-builder defended his actions by saying: "I don't want anyone looking in our yard and taking tabs on what we do."
Responding to his neighbours protest, he argued: "My thing was, why don't they come over and talk to us....if there is a complaint, come and talk to me".
Earnhardt claimed that he only called animal control after the dogs continuously prevented him and his wife from sleeping at night.
Kurt refuted this claim and said Earnhardt never contacted him.
After two visits from the animal authorities, Kurt decided: "That's it - we put up the fence".
Earnhardt was left powerless as he explained there is no homeowners associations in his area, nor any local rules on the height of fences.
He said he feared for his property value, but was also holding out hope that a surveyor might be able to prove the fence was built on his land and it could be taken down.
In a later statement to the network, the fence victim said: "We want to move on from this situation.
"We never intended to upset out neighbours to the point they would do something like this.
"We were only trying to get them to quiet their dogs during sleeping hours."
TikTok users rushed to the comment section to share their own thoughts on the revengeful behaviour, with many praising the fence building neighbour.
One wrote: "The minute he said his run room is worthless, I lost respect. deal with it."
Another said: "Brilliantly played".
A third offered: "If my neighbour built this big a fence I would be so happy."
"Great looking fence," another said.
