Rotherham grooming gang paedo eyes early release from prison
ONE of the men jailed in the wake of the Rotherham grooming gang scandal has taken the first step towards an early release.
Drug dealer Banaras Hussain, 43, raped, tortured and pimped out victims as young as 11.
Now, he has applied for a move to an open prison, having served less than half his 19-year term.
One of his victims, Sammy Woodhouse, 37, told The Sun: “He is one of the most dangerous men in the country.
"He kidnapped, assaulted, raped and tortured children over a period of several years.
"Those children are now adults and still struggle every single day because of the horrific acts he and others have committed against them.

"Our system is not fit for purpose.
"People cannot expect victims to come forward and report when we have such horrendous sentences in place."
