Former MasterChef contestant faces jail after trying to blackmail cops over child-abuse material
A FORMER MasterChef contestant faces jail for trying to blackmail cops who found his stash of child-abuse material.
Caerwyn Ash threatened to leak images of officers having sex unless the case was dropped.
The university academic was arrested in 2019 and charged with possessing images and videos of child abuse and bestiality.
Ahead of a court hearing last year he took a letter to Swansea police for the “Head of CID”.
It warned if charges were not axed Ash would “create an earthquake” by publishing material of cops engaged in sex acts.
Ash, 41, from Swansea, reached the BBC show’s quarter-final in 2016.
