Evil thug who left man blind in one eye after kicking his head is jailed for eight years
A THUG who kicked a man’s head telling him it was “what a football would have felt like” has been jailed for eight years.
Drug-fuelled John Shooter, 30, left his victim blind in one eye and with a boot imprint on his face.
Shooter ran off with his wallet and the man staggered into a pub for help in Mansfield, Notts, in March 2022.
In the early hours of the next day, Shooter robbed another man just after he had withdrawn cash.
He later fell asleep in a McDonald’s but woke and started trashing the restaurant while wielding a traffic cone.
One worker was assaulted by Shooter, who ripped open tills and stole cash.

Police took him into custody and he later assaulted an officer.
The court was told drugs psychosis set off Shooter’s violent offending. He had been living in a hostel at the time.
Shooter admitted charges of robbery, theft, criminal damage, affray and assaulting an emergency worker.
Det Sgt Rich Kinsey said after the case: “This catalogue of violence in just a few hours was absolutely appalling.”
