‘Beautiful’ schoolgirl, 11, died after she fainted and hit her head in the bathroom as devastated family pay tribute
HEARTBROKEN family members of a "beautiful" schoolgirl, 11, who died after she hit her head, have paid tribute.
Falaq Babar, from Rochdale, tragically passed away after fainting and suffering a serious head injury in the bathroom in March last year.
An inquest into the horrific death was opened by area coroner Catherine McKenna on Tuesday.
Speaking to the , her devastated family described her as a "beautiful soul".
Heartbroken mum Shazia Bi said: "How lucky we were to have Falaq in our lives for a short time, but she has left us with so many memories and love.
"We all cherished her, and she will always stay in our hearts and thoughts forever.

"Mum, dad, and brother will never forget you. We as a family cannot come to terms with the loss of such a beautiful soul. We love you, Falaq."
Police coroner's officer Ms Tracy Bunn told the inquest that Falaq was rushed to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital after "complaining of feeling unwell".
Ms Bunn explained: "She began to vomit and became unresponsive."
The court heard a CT scan was carried out and the little girl went in for emergency surgery, but she later passed away.

A provisional cause of death was determined, by forensic pathologist Dr Philip Lumb, as hypnotic anoxic brain injury.
Coroner McKenna said: "I am here this morning to open the inquest into the death of a young girl.
"I am really sorry you have lost your daughter this way."
