The glass narrowly missed Bradley Mills’ eye after a thug threw it in his face

Bradley Mills had to be rushed to hospital after a thug threw a glass in his face - missing his eye by just two centimetres.

The 24-year-old was out on Saturday night after the birth of his second daughter.

His partner Chantelle Pritchard posted images of Bradley's injuries that he suffered in Scotts Bar in Bolton, Greater Manchester, on Facebook, which have since been shared by more than 1,500 people.

She wrote: "Don't normally write a status like this but whatever idiot thinks it's alright to chuck a glass in my boyfriends face at Scotts Bar Horwich and then run away and most likely scar his face for life."

Chantelle added: "I hope you get what you deserve. So lucky it wasn't an inch higher and could of blinded him!

"Anyone knows who it was please message us, thank you."

It was the dad-of-two's first night out since the birth of his second daughter.

Bradley told how a man, who was with a large group of friends, had pushed past him at the bar at around 11.20pm.

He said he pushed the man back and then claims one of the men from the group of friends "launched a pint glass in his face" which then shattered.

Bradley, from Bolton, suffered three slashes to his face, centimetres under his left eye, which required treatment at hospital, with butterfly strips.

It is thought Bradley could be permanently scarred.

Chantelle said: "He was out on his first night out for ages so he went out to wet the baby's head, because we've just had our second little girl, four weeks ago.

"He was so lucky it wasn't an inch higher, it could have blinded him "Police are looking into it because Scotts has CCTV.

"On the CCTV you see them run out of the fire exit and get in their car and drive off.

"It's just awful."

A spokesman for Scotts Bar said: "We cleaned him up and sent him to hospital.

"The person who did it ran out and we couldn't catch them.

"I am really annoyed that it happened, nothing of this severity has ever happened here before.

"It came as a shock. It was ridiculous.

"We are trying to resolve it as quickly as possible so the person can be caught and sent down.

"The family came down yesterday and we have got the CCTV ready for police."

Police have launched an investigation and will be looking into CCTV footage from inside the pub.

No one was available to comment at Greater Manchester Police.
