Dad and son dead in suspected murder-suicide in Paisley flat
A HORROR incident in which it’s believed a dad killed his son before taking his own life is being probed by cops.
The bodies of the man and toddler were found in Paisley after neighbours heard shouting and a woman screaming “like she was in pain”.
The man who died has since been named locally as Steven Frank.
Officers and paramedics raced to the tenement flat after the alarm was raised on Monday night but were unable to revive the pair.
Police Scotland confirmed that they’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Forensic experts and detectives have been at the scene in the town’s Argyle Street since 8pm on Monday night.
Officers initially attended after reports of concern for the man and boy.
Shocked neighbours told how they heard shouting from the top floor flat before the discovery of the bodies.
One said: “There was screaming and shouting between a man and a woman.
“The woman sounded like she was in pain. This went on for about 30 minutes before there was just sudden silence.”

Another added: “It’s absolutely horrendous to think what has happened in there.
“A poor innocent child has lost their life. My heart goes out to his mum.”
Detectives continued to make door-to-door enquiries as locals gathered in the street to discuss the tragedy.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We received a report of concern for a man and a child at a property in Argyle Street, Paisley around 8pm on Monday.
“Officers attended and a man and a boy were found dead within the property.
“The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained. Post-mortem examinations will take place in due course.
“At this time, we have no information to suggest anyone else has been involved.”
