Cardiff crash: Major update on smash that killed three pals as man arrested
A MAN was arrested for driving dangerously in the hours leading up to a fatal crash that killed three pals.
The 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while disqualified on the M4 at around 10pm on 3 March.
South Wales said that the arrest was "part of the investigation" into the deadly smash involving the white Volkswagen Tiguan in near Newport, on March 4.
While the arrest is not in relation to the fatal crash itself, detectives said the same car was involved in both incidents.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Davies of South Wales Police said: "The arrest was made as a result of evidence identified by officers investigating the fatal collision and involves the same vehicle."
The 32-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while disqualified on the M4 at around 10pm on the evening before the smash.

Two of their pals were seriously injured in the smash and rushed to hospital, but they have now been discharged.
One of the survivors recently spoke out in memory of her "besties", while her mum slammed police, saying that if they had been quicker some of the passengers may have lived.
