Man, 25, charged with murder after ‘much-loved’ grandmother Kelly Pitt, 44, found dead at Newport home
A man, 25, has been charged with murder after the "much-loved" grandmother Kelly Pitt, 44, was found dead at her Newport home.
Lewis Bush, 25, is charged with the murder of Miss Pitt at her home in Newport, Gwent.
Bush, of Moorland Park, Newport, was remanded in custody by Newport magistrates to appear in crown court tomorrow.
Her family paid tribute to a "lovely person inside and out".
The family said: “Kelly was a much-loved granddaughter, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a loving, caring mother and a devoted nan.
"She was an all-round beautiful soul, a lovely person inside and out. She was kind, thoughtful, funny and would help anyone.

"Kelly was taken far too soon and we are devastated by what has happened, she was taken in such a painful way which we will never be able to come to terms with.
"We would like to thank the emergency services for such a quick response and the police for supporting us during this difficult time."

Devoted Kelly, 44, was found dead at a block of flats by police called to the scene.
Cops said they are not looking for anyone else in connection to the death in Newport, Gwent.
Flowers have now been laid at the scene as friends and neighbours have paid tribute to the "beautiful" mum.
One neighbour said: "I’ve lived above her for two years - she’s a lovely lady.
"I can’t believe this has happened. The police took my flowers and laid them by the flat."
Another said: "I'm going to miss having someone so lovely and honest living next to me. She’ll truly be missed."
One friend said: "I’ve known her since I was a child and she’s always been so lovely which makes my heart break for her even more because she really wasn’t a nasty person."
Gwent Police are appealing for information after she was found "unresponsive" at around 11.30am on May 12.
