UK Weather – Brits could enjoy summer heat in days… but first we’re going to be hit by rain and showers
BRITS could be basking in summer heat within DAYS - but the UK will first be hit by rain.
The Met Office predict that Britain will be seeing “above average temperatures” by Sunday.
And the good weather is set to continue into the month of June.
Their long range forecast for Sunday May 21 - Tuesday May 30 says that it will be “fine for many with warm sunshine."
It continues: “Through next week and the beginning of the following week, the overall settled theme will continue with predominantly fine and dry weather for most.
And it says: “Temperatures for most are likely to be above average during the day, although most likely closer to average in the far southeast.”
Meanwhile, the forecast for up until Wednesday Jun 14 says the mercury will remain higher than usual.
However, Brits will have to endure some wet weather before the sunny spells set in.
Over the weekend forecasters say the UK will see “a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers, some heavy, on Friday”.
It adds: “Further sunny spells Saturday and Sunday, but the risk of some rain across northwest Scotland. Often warm.”
