Mahek Bukhari trial: TikTok star’s mum, 47, ‘had sex with toyboy, 18, and performed on camera for him before his murder’

The 45-year-old told the jury she met Mr Hussain when he was 18, but claimed the teen had lied about his age and told her he was 27.

They began a sexual relationship at this time, about three years prior to his death, according to Ansreen.

The court heard they met up at a hotel in Birmingham to have sex for the first time.

But things turned toxic, and the defendant became "scared" when he wouldn't let her call it off, she claimed.

Defence barrister, Patrick Upward KC, asked his client about the pornographic content filmed during online sex chats with the teenager.

She said that Mr Hussain asked her to do things such as take off her clothes but insisted she was unaware it was being recorded.

She told the court: "He was telling me to do things I didn't know he was recording.

"If I didn't take his video calls he would get angry," she added, referring to when their relationship got "worse and worse."

In 2021, the pair met up and had sex for a second time in London, at a Premier Inn - originally booked for the defendant and her daughter Mahek.

She told the court: "I wanted to finish it off quite a few times, but it didn't work that way."

When questioned if she wanted to have sex, she said "not really" but did not claim she was forced.

The 18-year-old also sent numerous presents to her home address, according to the 45-year-old.

She lived at the Stoke property with her husband, son, and Mahek, and told the court she repeatedly tried to end the affair.

But she claimed this made her younger lover angry. She added: "He used to swear at me and it was just not nice - the wording that he used to say."

She maintained her reasoning for not contacting the police was fear the affair would be exposed.

"I was too scared the police were going to come to my house and my husband and my family were going to find out," she said.

Eventually, by the end of 2021, the mum confessed to her daughter about the relationship.

"She was angry. She said, 'I can't believe what you've just told me'. She was very angry", said the defendant.

The prosecution alleges in this case that eight defendants went to "ambush" Mr Hussain at the Tesco in Hamilton, Leicester.

It is their argument that the defendants were going to pretend to pay him £3,000 in return for Ansreen's gifts.

He arrived at Tesco with his friend Hashim Ijazuddin, who was driving, but left the car park within seconds.

The court has been told that the defendants, in two cars, followed him up the A46, driving at speeds of about 100mph.

Mr Hussain and Mr Ijazuddin came off the dual carriageway and hit a tree at about 1.30am on Friday, February 11, last year, killing them both.
