Creepy pics reveal inside abandoned mortuary left to rot for more than 20 years after hundreds of bodies passed through

CREEPY photos show an abandoned mortuary which has been left to rot for more than 20 years.
Urban explorer Matt Scott, 25, came across the decaying building which he said had a “foul smell” while he was out and about in woodland near the town of Abergele on the North Wales coast.
Matt described it as “one of the creepiest explores” he had ever been involved in.
The mortuary closed in 2000 and has become derelict in the two decades since.
Matt said today: "After taking a scenic stroll through the Welsh woodland, I spotted a small, creepy building hiding in the trees.
“I was shocked at what I had found.

“There was a strange feeling of coldness - it was unquestionably eerie.
"It had a very foul smell - the amount of dead bodies that tiny room must have seen was very evident in the odour.
"I got the feeling that there were thousands of lost souls still trapped inside, looking for peace in a morgue that's been abandoned for more than two decades.”
Matt, from Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, said the building was entirely deserted while he was there.

The mortuary had once though been the temporary home for thousands of dead people who were being prepared either for autopsy or funeral arrangements.
The haunting pictures show the building still has the fridges where bodies were stored and a post-mortem slab.
While exploring the building Matt also came across old paperwork, coroners reports and death certificates lying about which dated back to the mid-eighties.
He said: "The idea of visiting an abandoned morgue is both sad and very creepy.
"What an incredibly thought-provoking place this was, and a sad reminder of what awaits us all one day."
