Woman, 22, found dead in Plymouth hotel as grieving family says she ‘had so much to live for’

THE grieving family of a young woman who died suddenly in a hotel have told how she had “so much to live for”.

Paige Bartram, 22, was found dead at the OYO hotel in New George Street, Plymouth, on April 22.

Her cause of death in unknown and a coronial investigation is underway.

Now her family have paid tribute to their “best friend”.

Paige's sister, Ellie wrote on a : "Paige Bartram was 22-years-old and had so much to live for and to experience. Losing and out-living your child is a nightmare no parent would wish upon another.

"This has literally broke my mother and loss of Paige has affected our family, as once were six are now five. Growing up with someone, you’d never think about how life would be without them, the past few weeks we’ve had to accept the loss of our closest. My mum’s first daughter, my first best friend.

"Please could you kindly share and donate, every penny will go towards the funeral, help us give her the send off she deserves."

Meanwhile Paige's mum, Vicky, told PlymouthLive she was staying in supported living in the hotel.

She said: "Paige suffered from epilepsy. The investigation is ongoing - they've had the post mortem but they don't know the cause of her death yet."

Vicky added: "Brad, who's 20 and Ellie, who's 16, have been really upset by her passing, as has Mia, who's 11. 

“Eight-year-old Riley and five-year-old Caleb, being so young, they don't really understand it as much, but it's been hard on all of them. She is going to be sorely missed by the whole family."

Cops say they attended the hotel "following reports of a person found unresponsive within a property on New George Street, Plymouth."

A spokesperson for the force said: "Units attended along with the Ambulance service. 

“A 22-year-old local woman was pronounced deceased at the scene; her next of kin have been informed. 

“This death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is to be prepared for the coroner."
