Brits should prepare for heatwave as temperatures will hit 30s in June

BRITS are preparing for another heatwave as experts predict temperatures will swell into the 30s in June.

Experts have pointed to an African plume headed for the UK, bringing balmy weather along with it.

More hot spells are expected well into August and September - meaning that late summer could be particularly warm.

Roasting scenes reminiscent of last year - which saw temperatures surpass 40C - could be on the cards as we creep into summer, according to meteorologist James Madden of Exacta Weather.

But Brits will have to hold off slapping on the sun lotion for now - with milder weather expected in the coming days.

It comes as Brits are basking in warm sunshine this weekend.

The mercury is set to rise to 20C on Sunday, giving the UK a taste of summer.

The Met Office predicts “plenty of sunshine for most parts and feeling warm in light winds.”

However, on Monday rain will move in across Britain, which will cause temperatures to plunge.
