Scarface gangster Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel seen with thug pal Spencer ‘Hannibal the Cannibal’ Mellors at Rangers match

SCARFACE gangster Steven "Bonzo" Daniel has been seen with his thug pal Spencer "Hannibal the Cannibal" Mellors at a Rangers match.

Daniel, 43, whose face was disfigured when he was ambushed by gangland rivals, regularly goes to games in Glasgow with Mellors, 58 - who in 1996 was jailed for nine years for holding a woman hostage for nine hours, raping her and biting her.

Mellors was later jailed for four years in 2008 after he was caught with £100,000 worth of drugs.

He was also questioned by police over the shooting of gran Louise Brown and jailed twice for domestic abuse.

Gangster Daniel was left with grotesque wounds to his face after rivals rammed him off the M8 when he was heading home from a Rangers match in 2017.

The machete-wielding attackers shredded his tongue and left his teeth and jawbone exposed - leading medics to initially think he'd been shot.

The pair have been spotted together at several Rangers games including the 0-1 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat against Celtic at Hampden Park on April 30.

A source told the : "I’ve seen them both plenty at Ibrox this season. They’ve also been to away matches as well.

"They’re basically joined at the hip. Bonzo is a very private guy given his status, the previous attempt on his life and attacks on associates.

"He must really trust Spencer to let him in and have been with him so much.

";If something was to kick off, Spencer is exactly the kind of guy you’d want to have by your side."

Last November masked thugs rammed a car into a £340,000 Glasgow property linked to Daniel, leaving it badly damaged.

Cops said no arrests were made over the attack on the house, which is owned by Daniel's partner Avril Connell and was put under protection during the attempted murder trial of the rival gangsters allegedly behind his 2017 disfigurement.

The machete attack came during a turf war in Glasgow between the rival Daniel and Lyons crime clans.

Cousin Robert Daniel was shot outside his home in the city in March 2017, while Daniel clan associate Ross Sherlock was slashed in the neck in Low Moss prison.
