Caroline Crouch coroner reveals horrifying details of Brit mum’s death after killer husband launches shameless appeal
HORRIFYING details of Caroline Crouch's death have been revealed by a coroner as her killer husband shamelessly tries to shorten his sentence.
The Brit mum, 20, was brutally murdered by twisted Babis Anagnostopoulos, 35, in front of their baby at their home in Glyka Nera, Greece, in May 2021.
Warped Babis attempted to dupe cops by spinning a web of lies that Caroline had been killed by a gang during a break-in.
He was sent to maximum security prison Korydallos after being found guilty of strangling Caroline to death - telling authorities he killed her "in the heat of the moment".
But the coroner who examined Caroline's body rubbished Babis' callous lies as she told how the mum had been attacked while she slept.
Chaido Spiliopoulou told a mixed jury court in Athens that Caroline had been subjected to a barbaric six-minute-long death by strangulation.

By the time the forensic science professor was called to the Athens villa to determine her cause of death, she was so "swollen and bruised" she had become unrecognisable.
Spiliopoulou said Caroline suffered a "long and agonising" attempt to breathe as Babis suffocated her.
She told the court Caroline had severe bruising on her face.
Spiliopoulou added: "Her husband, by contrast, who had insisted they were the targets of a robbery had such light bruises he could go to work the next day."
Meanwhile, the policeman who found Caroline dead told of the harrowing scene he was met with at the couple's home.
He said their baby, Lydia, was on top of Caroline while Babis was tied up at the end of the bed, reports .
Chief Constable Christos Vardikos said the harrowing incident brought him "to his knees" and his colleagues were immediately suspicious of Babis.
Vardikos said: "For me it was an emotional breakdown at the time.
"It took days and nights of waking up and thinking about it to get over it."
It comes as former pilot Babis has lined up six witnesses to testify before an appeals court in Athens as he tries to reduce his prison term.
Appearing in court on Monday, the pilot took the unprecedented step of apologising to Caroline’s family for what he had done.
The apparent show of remorse is aimed at convincing the court that the murder of Caroline was not premeditated and instead he acted in the "heat of the moment".
But for 37 days, shameless Babis claimed ruthless robbers had broken into the couple’s home in Athens and strangling Crouch as she slept next to their baby daughter.
He even killed the family’s adopted dog, Roxy, to make the crime look realistic.
Back in February, Caroline's 's devastated dad David Crouch blasted Babis' appeal to get his sentence reduced as "absolutely despicable".
He told Greek media: "It is absolutely despicable that my daughter's killer is trying to get his prison sentence reduced because of his 'good behaviour.'
"The crime committed by the murderer, that of femicide, is a heinous crime that should deserve particularly severe punishment.

"I think it will be a sad day for women when the murderer of a defenceless woman who slept with her child will serve less than his full prison sentence. This man is beyond contempt."
