Sadie Hartley’s vile killer ‘set to launch murder conviction appeal claiming she can’t remember carrying out savage knife and cattle prod killing’

DERANGED Katrina Walsh, who helped stab businesswoman Sadie Hartley to  death, is planning to appeal her murder conviction.

In her new bid for freedom, Walsh claims she only has "disjointed" memories of the plan to savagely slaughter Ms Hartley - despite having plotted the attack in detail in her personal diary.

The horse trainer, who is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence for assisting Sarah Williams in stabbing her love rival, told her mates she will attempt to appeal the decision.

Walsh carefully outlined the "perfect murder" in he diary, but now claims she struggles to remember the brutal knife attack, in which Sadie was stunned with a cattle prod and then knifed 40 times.

The murderer's ex-husband Kev has visited Walsh twice at New Hall Prison, Wakefield, with his new partner.

The biker, 58, said: "She's still making out that she didn't know what Sarah was going to do. She admits helping her but she didn't know what she was helping with.

"After the murder, she says she helped dispose of the evidences she was fearing for her own life.

"She said she'd been writing to her legal team about an appeal."

A friend added: "it's sick really, she says she only has disjointed memories of the murder.

"We all know she wrote about it in her diary but now she wants to deny she knew anything."

Williams, 35, launched a frenzied stabbing attack on Sadie, 60, after zapping her with a 500,000-volt cattle prod as she answered the door of her home in Helmshore, Lancs.

The vile attack came after Sadie's husband Ian Johnston had an affair with Williams and then tried to call off their fling.

Williams spent 17 months planning Sadie's death.

Walsh recorded her deranged thoughts in he diary, mind-mapping various ways of murdering the businesswoman.

56-year-old wrote about trying to arrange "a hit on a motorcycle" and even considered leaving an ISIS flag at the scene to "mislead the investigation".

"Wow, I may get to be instrumental in helping remove the awful woman!" Walsh wrote just months before Sadie was slaughtered.

Her prison pals think she's struggling to cope with life inside the slammer.

One commented: "She's a strange character. She loves Iron Maiden, boasts about riding a Harley Davidson on the outside and says she is a 'horse-whisperer' and artist".
