Kate, William & their kids arrive for coronation rehearsals with Charles hours after Buckingham Palace suspect arrested
PRINCESS Kate, Prince William and their kids have arrived for coronation rehearsals with Charles just hours after a man was arrested outside Buckingham Palace.
The family have been seen for the first time since chaos unravelled around 7pm on Tuesday after a man threw suspected shotgun cartridges onto the palace grounds.
He ranted “I’m going to kill the King” before being dragged away by cops.
It’s understood no royals were in the palace at the time however, Charles and Camilla were there earlier on in the day.
The Royals have now been pictured not even 24 hours since the incident.
Arriving at Westminster Abbey for coronation rehearsals, Charles was smiling and in high spirits.
He was joined by William and Kate and their kids George, Charlotte and Louis.
The Firm are continuing life as normal despite safety concerns mounting.
Police were last night facing questions after witnesses told how the would-be attacker placed a bag by the gates.
The suspect reportedly threw a “number of items” out of the bag.
He was then arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon after he was searched and a knife was found.
Officers were forced to carry out a controlled explosion in sight of excited fans camping along The Mall ahead of Saturday.
It was understood the police were treating the matter as an isolated mental health incident.
Security for the historical event has been estimated to cost around £150million.
The operation will see thousands of officers deployed along with protection squads, air support and roof-top snipers.
Drones will also be used to monitor the crowds.
With just days to go, a full coronation rehearsal went ahead as planned last night.
Behind the scenes in the capital, a huge security and logistical operation is advancing as police chiefs and transport bosses prepare for the biggest state event since the funeral of the Queen last year.
The security operation, Golden Orb, is not as big as Operation London Bridge, the funeral plan for Queen Elizabeth, as the site map for the coronation is much smaller.
