Brit Dubai ‘rape’ victim supported by Apprentice star Selina Waterman-Smith who was gang raped in same country
Selina has set up a support organisation for abused women in the UAE after she was raped in Dubai in 2012 and said she is doing 'everything I can to get justice for Zara-Jayne'
A BRIT arrested after alleging she was raped was today locked in emotional talks with sex attack victim and Apprentice star Selina Waterman-Smith.
Zara-Jayne Moisey, 25, told police she was raped by two British men in a Dubai hotel.
But she was thrown in jail before being bailed, accused of breaching the United Arab Emirates’ strict laws on extra-marital sex.
Selina, who has set up a support organisation for abused women in the UAE after she was raped in Dubai in 2012, said: “I am doing everything I can to get justice for Zara-Jayne.”
Zara-Jayne wept as the two women prepared for the upcoming court case.
The day before, she had bravely told The Sun: “The truth will out.”
She accused kickboxer David Butlin, 22, and ex-Wolves footballer Louis Harris, 24, of attacking her after they met at Dubai’s Zero Gravity Ibiza-style beach club.
But software consultant Zara-Jayne, from Farnham, Surrey, was arrested and locked up after reporting the alleged rape.
She now faces being charged with breaching UAE laws on extra-marital sex and boozing.
Her 2014 marriage to Paul Edwards collapsed earlier this year and she was on a “heartbreak holiday” with her brother while her divorce was being finalised.
She has been released on bail but her passport has been confiscated.
In an email to her dad Chris she said: “It’s petrifying out here alone but I have to stay strong.”
Selina waived her anonymity to talk about her 2012 ordeal, when her drink was spiked in a bar before three men followed her home.
