Man found collapsed on pavement as cops launch probe into ‘unexplained death’
COPS have launched a probe into the "unexplained death" of a man who was found collapsed on the pavement.
The man was found unresponsive on the street in Blackpool.
Paramedics attended the scene and the man was rushed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital yesterday afternoon.
However, despite the best efforts of doctors the man was later pronounced dead.
His death is currently being treated as "unexplained" and an appeal has been launched for information.
Pictures taken at the scene this morning show a forensic tent and cordon in place.

A force spokesperson said: "At 12.18pm yesterday (April 22) officers attending an unrelated incident were made aware that a man had been found unresponsive on the pavement in Condor Grove, Blackpool.
"Despite the best efforts of members of the public, our officers and paramedics, the man was sadly later pronounced deceased at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
"Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time. His death is currently being treated as unexplained."
