FURIOUS shoppers have slammed supermarkets after cracking open their chocolate eggs and getting some shocking surprises.
Customers of Aldi, Tesco and Sainsbury's took to social media to blast the retailers after discovering their Easter treats were far from egg-cellent.
One outraged shopper from Aldi posted a picture of his mouldy rocky road flavoured egg to Twitter and urged other shoppers to check their chocolate before tucking in.
The chocolate egg, made by Aldi brand Choceur, is described as being "loaded" with bits of marshmallow, honeycomb and pieces of pretzel.
But after opening the box, the shopper was mortified to see that the bottom of the egg was completely mouldy.
He said: "Mouldy Easter egg from Aldi. Make sure you check yours."
